Seduction

After having lectures from Mr. Halliwell about 'how we see' and the theories behind colour, I think that seduction will be an interesting concept to portray within imagery - red being the main colour which we associate with it (in basic terms because this colour stands out more than any other colour - it has the longest wave length). I've found some images that I think relate to this word as part of my research and hopefully they will be a stimulus for more ideas, here they are:

This image metaphorically has seduction written all over it. The fact that these red lips are shiny giving a moist and 'sexy' look to them, as does the way this person is almost pouting with their mouth open.

Still looking at how red lips symbolize seduction, I took this image as an example. This is the image used on the cover of the True Blood Season 1 DVD, it has similar effects as the image above (shiny red lips and an open mouth pout). The exception is that this is a vampire, a being which was once portrayed as a monstrous 'creature of the night' but nowadays seems to be the latest 'sexy' trend. This shows an obvious change in times.

Yet again, looking at red lips but this image in my opinion gives off a great amount of 'sex appeal'.. the way that the smoke is drifting out of the mouth is alluring and I think that even someone who doesn't agree with smoking would also think so. 

  

 

Long legs and high heels seem to convey a large amount of sex appeal, especially with the way this women has one leg raised against the other, after collecting these images I have found that poses can be critical in order to achieve the desired effect. 

When brainstorming my ideas I remembered the sweets I used to eat when I was younger, lovehearts.. They could be used to make a digital image of sweets spelling out a 'seductive' message. 

Whilst I was still on the thought of food I came to think about strawberries, which are also red in colour (keeping in with the theme here). They are not the most exotic of fruits but still, there is something about them whether it be the colour or shape that makes them more appealing than say just an apple or a banana.. both the strawberry and the red lips together overall add a great deal of sex appeal to this image.
